Salt Creek Beach

Salt Creek Beach Park, considered by many as one of the best beaches in the entire state, is a favored spot for locals and visitors alike. Made up of about one mile of sandy beach, Salt Creek offers a 7-acre grassy park, beach volleyball courts, a basketball court, fully-stocked snack bar, covered picnic benches and barbeque grills. Aside from all of the wonderful amenities, Salt Creek Beach is also well-known for it’s great surfing waves.



Dana Point Harbor

The Dana Point Harbor is a full-facility harbor made up of 2 marinas which houses more than 2,500 boats. For boaters, the harbor offers launch ramps, guest slips, fuel dock, shipyard, boat rentals, overnight trailer parking and dry storage. For those who aren’t yet sailors but are interested in learning, the harbor offers sailing lessons / classes at a reasonable price. Fishing and whale watching excursions are also available to those brave enough to hit the open water! In addition to boating activities, the harbor is also popular for kayaking, paddleboarding, jetskiing and seadooing. Besides having a beautiful picnic area, there are many nice places to eat in the harbor.



San Clemente Pier

The San Clemente Pier is a famous fishing hot-spot in South Orange County. This 1,2096 foot long pier features fantastic views of the Pacific Ocean, a perfect location to spectate the local surf competitions and indoor / outdoor restaurant dining. For those interested in fishing, there is a fully-stocked bait and tackle shop located at the end of the pier. Parking is a short walk up the street and costs only $0.75 per hour, while fishing off of the pier is free of charge.



Local Colleges

Saddleback College, located 5 miles away in Mission Viejo is ranked 8th out of 110 California Community Colleges in transfers to California State Universities. Of the nine community colleges in Orange County, Saddleback College ranks first in transfers to UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, San Diego State University, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and second to UC Berkeley, UCLA, and UC San Diego. To help students achieve their transfer goals,numerous workshops, campus tours, and college fairs are held each year. Saddleback also offers over 30 courses aimed towards the older adult population to accomodate senior citizens. In addition to Saddleback, the other schools that are in driving distance are: Univeristy of Irvine, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State San Marcos and many other Occupational Education Centers.



Talega Golf Club

Located in the San Clemente hills, three miles from the ocean, Talega Golf Club offers some of the best golfing in the area. Talega was ranked America’s Top Golf Course by an ESPN survey and voted as the Best Daily Fee Golf Course by a group of experts with OCGolf, LA Golf and SD Golf Magazines. This beautiful par-72, 18-hole championship course is perfect for golfers of all abilities. Also located on the grounds is a driving range, spanish-colonial style clubhouse and indoor / outdoor dining at the Talega Signature Grille.

Laguna Beach is comprised of seven miles of gorgeous Pacific Coastline, featuring many places to partake in your favorite beach activities. Laguna Beach is also home to more than 100 art gallerties, artist studios and eclectic boutiques.
